Aboard our air-conditioned vessel, you will have access to a licensed bar, snacks and the best views across Cleveland Bay. Plus catch the sea breeze on the outside decks during the trip.
With up to 18 return services per day, a visit to Magnetic Island has never been easier for locals and holiday makers with our convenient and reliable schedule.

Sunferries departs from the Breakwater Terminal, Townsville to Nelly Bay, Magnetic Island. Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Additional Info
- Each of the vessels include a licensed bar to serve you on your short trip to Magnetic Island. Vessels are wheelchair accessible and include designated areas for luggage and frieght. There is no smoking permitted on any vessel due to QLD public transport laws.
- Once you have purchased your ticket you can travel over and return at what ever times suit you.
- Numbers on the day: We do not require any minimum numbers to run. We have a maximum of 300 passengers per trip.
- Session length: Passengers will be required to check in approximately 15 minutes prior to departure. Sunferries operate 19 return services daily and will have you on Magnetic Island in only 20 minutes on our comfortable, airconditioned vessels.
- Children under 5 years of age travel free. Children 5-14 years of age are eligible for the child rate. Family applies to 2 adults and up to 3 children.

- Cancellations notified 30 days or more prior to activity date » full refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified 8 days or more (but less than 30 days) prior to activity date » 50% refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified less than 8 days prior to activity date » no refund is given by activity supplier.
If you do not attend at the agreed date, time and place you may not be entitled to any refund by the activity supplier.
