BCL - Skid Pan Training in a Lotus
Overview
Become a safer and more aware driver, whilst receiving tips from the experts on Mt Cotton's Diesel Skid Pan. Skid pan driver training gives you the chance to jump behind the wheel of our rear wheel drive Lotus Exige and learn the secrets to increased vehicle control. This is the ultimate in driver training and skid pan control! Just imagine, it's a miserable wet day and you're unaware that a truck travelling ten cars in front of you is dropping diesel all over the road. Suddenly the car in front props and you have to brake and swerve to avoid a collision. Your car suddenly skids sideways! What you do next could save your life. Do you know what you would do? Driving one of our rear-wheel-drive Lotus Exige's, you will be personally coached in the skills necessary to correct a skidding car. During the skid pan driver training you will work to correct oversteer and understeer and learn what to do if you lose control of your car. More importantly, you will learn how to avoid getting into these situations in the first place. You are also welcome to try your own car on the skid pan (subject to noise restrictions). Please Note: You must hold a valid driver's license in order to participate in the experience and this must be brought with you on the day of your experience. If using you own car, please ensure it is well serviced and in a road worthy condition with valid registration and insurance. If using your own car it must meet normal legal noise requirements.
Location
- Springwood (Brisbane - Queensland)
Mt Cotton, Queensland approx 30 minutes south of Brisbane or 45 minutes from the Gold Coast. Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Additional Info
- To drive the Lotus you should not exceed a max height of 190cm and approx 125kgs. You must be drug and alcohol free. This experience is not suitable for pregnant women or those people suffering from a heart condition.
- All participants and spectators will be required to sign an indemnity on arrival to the venue. Spectators are welcome at a cost of $10pp. Please advise the supplier at the time of booking. Skid Pan Days are generally not affected by adverse weather conditions.
- Numbers on the day: 1 Person - We operate with max groups of 12.
- Session length: This experience generally operates from 5pm - 9pm. Please arrive at 4.30pm to allow time to sign on.
- You must hold a valid drivers (L, P acceptable) licence and be competent using a manual transmission (if you wish to drive the Lotus). Casual and comfortable clothing is recommended. For safety reasons, fully enclosed shoes must also be worn.

The cancellation policy for this activity is as follows:
- Cancellations notified 30 days or more prior to activity date » full refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified 8 days or more (but less than 30 days) prior to activity date » 50% refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified less than 8 days prior to activity date » no refund is given by activity supplier.
If you do not attend at the agreed date, time and place you may not be entitled to any refund by the activity supplier.
