Overview
Your half day canoe experience on the Goulburn River starts at Wyuna, just a 2 hour drive north from Melbourne. As the group meets and we get to know each other, you will be driven upstream in our vehicles and be given safety instructions and fitted with safety vests.
The remainder of the day is spent slowly canoeing downstream. The river is ideal for canoeing and kayaking for most of the year as there is no other water traffic besides the occasional fisherman. This is the place to get a way from the hassles of everyday life and be well looked after by your caring and expert guides.
This canoe adventure will take you deep into remote areas of the Barmah Forest, where you may be lucky enough to spot a shy platypus or a magnificent wedge-tailed eagle.
Along the way, we will find a secluded sandbar to enjoy the picnic lunch and refreshments (included), before heading back in the canoes to the final location.

Tongala (Murray River Region - Victoria)
This trip departs from Wyuna, which is 30km east of Echuca on the Murray Valley Highway or about a 2 hour drive north of Melbourne.

Session Time
This experience is available 7 days a week, all year round (except Christmas Day). The weekends and public holidays are particularly busy, so please book in advance to avoid disappointment. The half day tour usually starts at 10am and concludes at about 2pm.
Guidelines & Restrictions
Please wear casual and comfortable clothes and old shoes. You may get wet during the day and we recommend that you bring spare change of clothes to change into. Don't forget a hat and sunscreen. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult. No canoeing experience is necessary.
Booking Insurance
It is recommended that you consider GoDo Booking Insurance. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.
Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
