Overview
Your V8 drive day begins as you register at reception before heading down to see pit lane. At this point, you can also choose to purchase an in-car video / DVD prior to your drive to record every memorable in-car V8 driving moment (additional cost payable directly to the supplier on the day). Feel free to watch the action on the circuit before being called to the driver's briefing.
The driver's briefing will be given by an experienced V8 race driver who knows the race track intimately. The briefing will prepare you for driving one of our race prepared Holden or Ford V8 race cars.
After the briefing, we head to pit lane, where you'll be fitted with a race suit and helmet. After you're completely kitted up in the race gear, you'll have your photo taken with one of the V8's prior to your drive. At this point you can also choose a Holden or Ford - a very easy choice for most motoring enthusiasts!
When it's your turn to be the driver, we'll strap you behind the wheel of the V8, introduce you to your personal in-car coach and before long you'll be burning rubber out of pit lane for the drive of a lifetime!
Your coach will show you the fastest way around the track, showing you how to drive the best you possibly can and helping you to improve lap times and cornering techniques. You'll be treated to 8 self-drive laps around the circuit and we guarantee the thrill of the race will certainly be in your veins! After completing your 8 laps, you can collect your laminated photo certificate to prove that you really were a V8 race car driver!

Ipswich (Brisbane - Queensland)
This activity takes place in Ipswich, Queensland - approximately 45 minutes west of Brisbane.
Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Numbers
The price quoted is for one person. There will be about 20 - 25 people in the drivers briefing. The actual drive experience is one-on-one with a coach connected to you via an intercom system similar to those that you see in international rallies.
Session Time
Please allow at least 2 hours for the entire experience, including your driver briefing and self-drive in the V8. Race days are held throughout the year on both weekdays and weekends on set race dates throughout the year.
Guidelines & Restrictions
To drive, you must hold at least a manual P-Plate license. The maximum driver height and weight is 195cm and 120kg. Drivers should be in good physical condition with no heart problems or breathing difficulties. If you are unsure about your suitability - please contact us.
You will be required to sign an indemnity form prior to participating in the experience. Your experience includes 8 laps around the circuit.
Extra Info
You need to wear comfortable clothing as the race suit will need to go over any clothing you choose to wear. Fully enclosed, flat soled shoes are required (normal runners are fine). The drive may be interrupted or cancelled due to inclement weather as driving at high speed on a wet track can be dangerous. Please contact the supplier to confirm the status of the day. In the case of your drive being cancelled due to weather, we will reschedule your experience for a later date.
Booking Insurance
It is recommended that you consider GoDo Cancellation Cover. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.
Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Cancellation Cover provider.
