BCL - Balloon Flight with Light Breakfast - 30 mintues
Overview
We are a family operated business since 1986. We offer early morning 30 and 60 minute balloon flight tours, with daily departures from Alice Springs.
Our tours include return transfers, the balloon flight, a flight certificate and a light breakfast at landing site.
Your ballooning adventure begins in the cool pre dawn darkness as you are picked up from your accommodation in Alice Springs. During the 15-minute drive to our desert launch site you will get to know the crew as they make final weather checks and explain the routine for the morning. At the launch site gas burners are used to inflate the balloons.
The balloon flight takes place to the south of Alice Springs, between the Alice Springs Airport and the MacDonnell Ranges. Once floating gently in the air you will appreciate the vast remoteness of the Australian outback. Wildlife, particularly big red kangaroos are seen nearly every day as the balloon crosses spinifex grasses, mulga scrub and cattle stations.
After landing you may become involved in assisting the crew or taking photographs as we pack the nylon balloon back into its bag. At the balloon landing site you will be offered champagne and tropical fruit juice accompanied by a selection of muesli biscuits, exotic slices, cheese and fresh fruit. A range of Outback Ballooning souvenirs is also available. Vegetarian and other dietary requirements should be notified at the time of booking.
Transfers back to your hotel, the airport or another tour, and a commemorative flight certificate completes your morning.
Clothing: Long pants, sturdy footwear, hat and sunscreen.

Additional Info
- All passengers are briefed and given safety instructions on the day. This includes take off and landing positions. Passengers must be physically able to stand for the duration of the flight. Medical conditions should be advised prior to departure.
- Return transfers from Alice Springs accommodation are included with every tour. Children must be 6 yrs old, or 1.4 metres tall. Children prices are applicable from 6 - 16 years of age, and are 20% off our adult prices. All passengers must reconfirm the day before the activity takes place.
- Numbers on the day: We operate some of the largest balloons in the world. Our largest balloon carries 20 passengers, plus the Pilot.
- Session length: 4.5 hours.

The cancellation policy for this activity is as follows:
- Cancellations notified 30 days or more prior to activity date » full refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified 8 days or more (but less than 30 days) prior to activity date » 50% refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified less than 8 days prior to activity date » no refund is given by activity supplier.
If you do not attend at the agreed date, time and place you may not be entitled to any refund by the activity supplier.
