Overview

DAY 1 -
Travelling southwest through Geelong, our first stop is at Anglesea to meet some Kangaroos. Not far is picturesque Lorne where we stop for some morning tea. Further along, at Kennet River, we take a detour and look for Koalas in their natural environment.

After lunch at Apollo Bay, we continue our drive through the Otway National Parks majestic Mountain Ash forest. While walking in the National Park you will have an opportunity to discover the peace and tranquillity of a secluded tree fern gully.

We then arrive at your 4 star accommodation close to Apollo Bay. This property offers stunning views of the Southern Ocean.

DAY 2 -
After breakfast we travel into the Shipwreck Coast and visit the 12 Apostles. A short drive takes us to Loch Ard Gorge, the site of the most infamous shipwreck of this coast.

Here your guide tells the story reading from the diary notes of Tom Pearce and Eva Carmicheal while original photographs and artefacts from the ship are passed around.

After lunch at Port Campbell, we visit London Bridge and the limestone stacks of the Bay of Martyrs and Bay of Islands.

Our journey continues through Warrnambool, visiting the Tower Hill State Game Reserve, Port Fairy and Mount Gambier, home of the Volcanic Blue Lakes. Here we turn inland to Penola, the gateway to the Coonawarra Wine region.

DAY 3 -
Our third day starts with a visit to the Naracoorte Caves National Park for a cave tour with a local guide.

These limestone caves are World Heritage Listed Area due to the fossils of the 'Mega Fauna' found buried in the Caves. We then continue our journey through the wine region of Padthaway as we head north through to Keith for lunch.

On our approach to city we visit the very popular tourist village of Hahndorf and Mount Lofty summit for impressive, birds-eye views of Adelaide and surrounds. We arrive in the city at around 6pm
