BCL - Private Surf Lesson for 1
Overview
Maximise your surfing time and enjoyment and see the results faster when you learn to surf one-on-one with your own private instructor. This is an intensive 3 hour lesson designed to teach you the easiest and safest techniques for stand up surfing. We start by giving you a 20 minute demonstration on the beach. Then it's time to get into the water and put what you have learned to the test. By the end of the lesson you will ride long waves of at least 40 metres. All equipment is included.
Location
- Byron Bay (Byron Bay and Northern Rivers - New South Wales)
We will choose the best waves to suit the conditions and your surfing needs from locations in Byron Bay, Lennox Head and Ballina. Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Additional Info
- No previous surfing experience is required, but participants need to be able to swim at least 50 metres. Bring: swimmers, towel, sunscreen and drinking water. Surfing is not a recommended activity for sufferers of epilepsy and heart conditions. We take people 6 to 60+ years with moderate fitness.
- We provide all equipment including safe, soft surfboards and long or short wetsuits and rash vests. Participants are asked to sign a waiver. All instructors are qualified level 1 surf instructors and hold current senior first aid and Life Saving Club proficiency certificates.
- Numbers on the day: This is a private lesson - it's just you and your own instructor.
- Session length: 3 hours in duration including 20 minutes travel time to and from the waves, 20 minutes demonstration on the beach and 2 hours water time.

The cancellation policy for this activity is as follows:
- Cancellations notified 30 days or more prior to activity date » full refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified 8 days or more (but less than 30 days) prior to activity date » 50% refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified less than 8 days prior to activity date » no refund is given by activity supplier.
If you do not attend at the agreed date, time and place you may not be entitled to any refund by the activity supplier.
