Overview
There's a new species in the world's oldest rainforest... the JUNGLE SURFER!
Set in the pristine Daintree rainforest at Cape Tribulation, the Queensland Tourism Award winning Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours takes you on a unique rainforest tour where your feet don't touch the ground. Jungle Surfers fly through the trees on flying fox ziplines, stopping at five tree platforms to take in spectacular bird's eye views over the treetops, down to cascading streams and out to the Great Barrier Reef.
The longest span is over 75 metres and the platforms vary in height from 2.5 to 19.5 metres above the ground. At the highest point you fly over 22 metres above the valley, and the flight choice is yours - slow, fast or even upsidedown.
While your taste for adventure is fulfilled, your safety is covered with all construction and equipment meeting the highest standards and all platforms manned by highly trained abseiling masters & scientist guides, who educate and entertain you throughout the tour.
With harnesses to suit kids aged 3 up to adults weighing 120kg, you can bring the kids and bring the grandparents - Jungle Surfing is the adventure activity for all ages.
Jungle Surfing operates four two-hour tours daily with courtesy transfers from anywhere in Cape Tribulation.
Location
Cape Tribulation (Cairns and Tropical North Queensland - Queensland)
This activity takes place at Cape Tribulation (approx 2.5 hours from Cairns or 1.5 hours from Port Douglas).

Numbers
Maximum group size is 18 people. Generally there is one guide to every 2-4 people with guides located on each tree platform.
Session Time
2 hours duration Includes transfers to and from the tour and approximately 1.5 hours in the trees.
Guidelines & Restrictions
Exact pickup times will be advised at time of booking. Weight limit: 120kg/280lb No pregnant women Age limit: 3 to 103 years! Wear shorts or long pants (no skirts or dresses) and closed in shoes Don't forget your camera!
All staff are qualified abseiling masters trained in both Basic Abseiling Techniques and Vertical Rescue Techniques. Some staff are also qualified Biological Scientists with tertiary level degrees.
We do have a Medical Declaration & Liability Waiver form that must be completed prior to the tour. No spectators allowed.

Weight restriction of 120kg/180lb. Jungle Surfing is not recommended for pregnant women.
