BCL - John Coles - Oberon/ Fly Fishing 3days/2nights
Overview
Experience fly fishing in NSW with John Coles as your guide and host. I am a member of the Professional Fishing Instructors and Guides Association. You are covered by my Guides Fishing licence. This is the perfect location to improve your casting and more importantly learn some fly fishing craft skills fishing for trout. Cost includes two nights accommodation with your own bedroom. All meals including brunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Alcohol is on a BYO basis.
All linen is provided. The fishing will be Lake based after 14 June to October Long weekend. Let me help you to increase your casting and fishing skills. Get away from the crowds and relax. Let me guide you looking for the rise of the trout. If we are lucky we will see platypus and kangaroos and a host of birds and other wildlife.
Location
- Bathurst (Orange and Central NSW - New South Wales)
Due to the nature of Fly fishing the final location will be decided on the prevailing weather, water conditions. Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Additional Info
- Children must be accompanied with an adult. You should have reasonable health and be prepared to walk, and be a proficient swimmer.
- Please bring: a broad brimmed hat, sunscreen and wet gear if necessary. All equipment is supplied on a replace if broken or lost basis. NB. Casting with Graphite rods is dangerous during electrical storms. If such conditions arise the casting session will be canceled.
- Numbers on the day: Trip numbers are based on the minimum of 2 Fly fishers. If you are prepared to share bedrooms 4 persons maximum.
- Session length: The trips are 2 nights. We will fish to suit the conditions of the day. Usually at this time of the year conditions are usually good from mid morning to late afternoon. Check in time is 1pm on the Friday at the cottage and checkout time is midday on the Sunday.
- The cottages have 2-4 bedrooms so I can accommodate either 3 couples or 3 or 2 singles . Minimum number 2 persons maximum 6. Due to the nature of fly fishing you need to be reasonably fit as we walk over uneven ground.

The cancellation policy for this activity is as follows:
- Cancellations notified 30 days or more prior to activity date » full refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified 8 days or more (but less than 30 days) prior to activity date » 50% refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified less than 8 days prior to activity date » no refund is given by activity supplier.
If you do not attend at the agreed date, time and place you may not be entitled to any refund by the activity supplier.
