BCL - Oceanic Wildlfe Tour - Whales Dolphins Albatrosses
Overview
Save yourself a trip to Antarctica! Join our eco oceanic wildlife adventure tour for a full day cruise on a luxury sports catamaran to the ocean waters of the continental shelf some 25 nautical miles to sea where Sydney is just but a speck in the distance. Few people realise we have a large oceanic park at our doorstep!
Activity Highlights:
• Come and search for the different cetaceans and seabirds in their own territory some of which have migrated vast distances to be in the ocean waters off Sydney. The different species you will encounter will vary with the season but it will include members of many different families.
• In season (August - December) there is always the chance of seeing humpback whales on their southern migratory path from the coral sea as well as sperm whales, false killer, pilot whales and dolphins, sharks and sunfish.
• The humpbacks can be particularly friendly during their September to November southern migration and it is not uncommon to have them swimming within metres of the boat.
• Helpful guides are on board to help you to find & identify all of the species encountered.
• A hydrophone is available to use to tune into the whale songs.

Pick up & drop off from Mosman Bay and Rose Bay and takes place in coastal waters off Sydney. Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Additional Info
- If sea sickness should be a consideration please consult with your pharmacist for the remedies available. Not recommended for children under 12 years.Please wear warm comfortable clothes plus a water/windproof jacket for days when there is a lot of spray. Bring hat, suncream, camera.
- Morning Tea provided Tea/coffee/juice/water/biscuits BYO lunch Plenty of shelter on board from wind, rain and sun. If sea conditions are unfavourable, the trip will be rescheduled. expert guides on board to identify species sightings
- Numbers on the day: There may be up to 30 people in the boat. A minimum of 15 participants is required for the tour to proceed.
- Session length: Regular trips depart the second Saturday of each month.Duration 8hrs Non scheduled tours can be available in Sept, Oct and Nov of each year.
- Minimum of 15 pax required to run a tour. Not suitable for children younger than 12 years. If you can only participate on a certain day, please check availability prior to booking. Rebookings require 5 working days notice. If you do not attend as booked, then there is no opportunity to reschedule. Sightings of particular animals not guaranteed.

- Cancellations notified 30 days or more prior to activity date » full refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified 8 days or more (but less than 30 days) prior to activity date » 50% refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified less than 8 days prior to activity date » no refund is given by activity supplier.
If you do not attend at the agreed date, time and place you may not be entitled to any refund by the activity supplier.
