BCL - Super Sri Lankan Cooking Class
Overview
Your cooking class instructor is Paul van Reyk who wants to help Australians experience the richness of the cuisine of his native country, Sri Lanka. Paul has taught at the Seafood Cooking School and Accoutrement, runs a catering company and often reviews South Asian as well as running foodie tours to Sri Lanka.
On the menu:
* Prawn Curry
* Dhal with Spinach - a vegetable curry using red lentils and spinach
* Pumpkin Curry - a Sri Lankan Favourite
* Snake Bean Mallung - mallungs are quick fried vegetable accompaniments that are lightly spiced
* Coconut Sambol - sambols are accompaniments like salsas, or relishes, or pickles
* Saffron rice
* Coconut Roti
This is an activity where everyone gets involved under Paul's guidance to product a sensational feast! When the meal is ready, we'll sit down as a group and enjoy our delicious meal.

This class takes place at Annandale, Sydney. Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Additional Info
- This class is about getting an expert to guide you through the cooking process of authentic Sri Lankan cuisine. Paul's energetic and enthusiastic lesson is both is demonstration and hands on and you won't go home hungry! All equipment and ingredients are provided.
- Casual and comfortable clothing is recommended. Closed shoes must be worn, preferably with solid soles and good grip.
- Numbers on the day: We operate with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 16 people in each class. In the rare situation that the minimum number isn't reached you will be given at least 3 days notice with the chance to reschedule for a later date or offered the opportunity to participate in one of our other great classes.
- Session length: This class is held on Saturdays from 10.00am - 1.00pm.
