BCL - Tasmanian West Coast Wilderness Tour - 3 Days
Overview
Join us for a fully guided three day tour of Western Tasmania. Over 3 days we will take you to some of Tasmania's most popular sites and along the way our professional guides will pass on a wealth of local knowledge.
DAY 1 - Departing from Launceston we make our way through the city to visit Cataract Gorge, the jewel of Launceston. We then make our way to Chudleigh Honey Farm for some delicious honey tasting and a honey ice-cream (own expense). Next, we head for Maracoopa Cave near Mole Creek for a guided tour of the ancient limestone (glow worm) cave. Our next destination is the World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. We stay overnight at Cradle Mountain.
DAY 2 - We'll spend the morning in the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park and enjoy a short walk around he famous Dove Lake with Cradle Mountain as the backdrop. We then make our way to Strahan a pretty west coast town, on the way see the beautiful Lake Rosebery. Get your camera ready as we pass the Southern Ocean to see as far as you can imagine - perhaps Argentina! We then arrive in Strahan.
At Strahan we take a 40 minute walk through the peaceful rainforest to see Hogarth Falls. After watching the sunset we get settled to spend the night in Strahan.
DAY 3 - Departing from Strahan, our next stop is Queenstown - an old mining town reflecting of past glory and surrounded by mine-coloured mountains. After a short visit to Queenstown, we then head towards Hobart. En route, enjoy a 20 minute walk to beautiful Nelson Falls and turn at Derwent Bridge to see Lake St Clair - Australia's deepest lake. Next stop is Mt Field National Park to view famous Russell Falls (regularly seen on Tasmanian calendars) and the Tall Trees. Our tour concludes in Hobart with drop off at Hobart CBD accommodation.

This tour departs from Launceston and concludes in Hobart. We are able to drop you off at your CBD hotel or at the Visitor Information Centre in Hobart. Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.

- This tour is suited to all fitness levels. There is a small amount of walking involved that will take place on established tracks. This tour is suitable for anyone from 7 to 70 years of age, in good health.
- Child rates apply to those aged 7-14 years old. Please note that a cancellation penalty applies.
- Numbers on the day: The price quoted is for 1 person, based on twin/double share. Single bookings may be accepted (a single supplement will be incurred), if there are others booked on the same tour. Groups generally range from 3 to 11 people.
- Session length: Tour runs for 3 days and 2 nights. The tour commences on Thursday (9:00am) from Launceston and concludes on Friday (5:45pm) in Hobart.
- This package includes lunch (x3) and breakfast (x2) and 2 nights accommodation (3*-3.5* motels with en-suite rooms or self-contained cottages),entry fees. Tours are conducted using comfortable and safe passenger vans (4WD/2WD) with reclining seats, dual air conditioners and enough space for comfort. They are specifically suited for touring in Tasmania.
