BCL - Murray River - 3 Night Wetlands Discovery Cruise
Overview
A short introduction to the beautiful and historic Murray River between Walker Flat and Murray Bridge.
Sample Itinerary:
Friday - Depart historic Mannum, birthplace of the Murray River trade and communication, and heads upriver while you enjoy pre-dinner drinks and a Welcome Dinner. As we cruise under floodlight to our overnight mooring at Craignook you may see nocturnal wildlife on the riverbank.
Saturday - Go ashore after a hearty breakfast for a guided nature walk to discover the local flora and fauna. We reboard and head upriver, past big river cliffs, and an ever-changing countryside. We turn and head downriver to Fromm's Landing where we join our discovery vessel for a backwater wildlife tour. We explore the maze of backwaters, creeks and lagoons. The birdlife is amazing. Watch for darters, herons and egrets feeding along the river's muddy edges. Back on board, we continue downstream past picturesque cliffs to Piggy Flat. After dinner enjoy the fun and excitement of the Murray River Cup.
Sunday - Bring your camera, we're going ashore to capture the dawn light. Enjoy a morning talk about the riverlands' bountiful food and wine trail. After lunch we reach the Pomberuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre at Murray Bridge. Here, too, we discover a cottage with hand-making chocolates using native fruits. Your ship departs for Mundarra. Join the Captain and officers for pre-dinner drinks and then the Captain's Dinner and Dance.
Monday - After breakfast, PS Murray Princess arrives at Mannum where we reluctantly say farewell.
Your package includes accommodation; All meals featuring quality fresh produce; Extra comforts including saunas and spas; Guided walks, presentations and daybreak photography; Most tours; Scenic Coach transfers from Adelaide or car parking at Mannum.

Additional Info
- Please bring all personal items for the 3 nights such as clothes for day / night, toiletries, suncream and camera. Baggage is limited to 20kg. The passenger warrants that they are physically fit and capable of undertaking the cruise.
- Cabins are air conditioned. Bars close at midnight. Bridge tours are conducted during the voyage - see the Cruise Director or Purser for bookings on arrival. For your convenience we operate a cashless bar system. You may use your Cruise Account for onboard drinks and some optional shore excursions.
- Numbers on the day: There are 60 cabins onboard. Other people will be enjoying the cruise.
- Session length: Departs Fridays 4.30pm (boarding from 2.30pm). Returns Mondays 9.00am
- Itineraries subject to change due to weather and other operational requirements. Inside and Outside Cabins have twin beds. Prices exclude fuel surcharges. Captain Cook Cruises offer child (Age 5-14 years) and group discounts. Family packages include 2 adults and 2 children. Concession/Student = Full time student (any age) and Australian Seniors/Pensioners.

- Cancellations notified 8 days or more (but less than 30 days) prior to activity date » 50% refund is given by activity supplier;
- Cancellations notified less than 8 days prior to activity date » no refund is given by activity supplier.
If you do not attend at the agreed date, time and place you may not be entitled to any refund by the activity supplier.
