Blues Harmonica Fundamentals - NSW
Description
If you love the sound of blues harp harmonica music but don't know were to start, these harmonica workshops are for you. Have you always loved the sound of wailing blues harp music or maybe you have had a couple of harmonicas for the past few years and you are still trying to get that blues harmonica sound. Our Basic Workshop will get you well on the way to Blowin the Blues.
Blues and Folk Harp is fun, portable and easy to play. Learn the styles of Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Sonny Terry and Little Walter and Sonny Boy Williamson. No need to read music and you will learn songs! Easy to learn and fun to play.
The Course will cover all the fundamental techniques for playing the harmonica including effects like Blues Rhythm train and, Bending Notes. You will also learn how to improvise and have fun on the harmonica in a friendly relaxed and fun environment.
Your Tutor Doug Lyons is a leading Harmonica educator and performer with over 20 years playing and teaching expierience. Doug is a member of the popular Blues Preachers as well as 3rd time judge at Tamworth Golden Harmonica Championships and The Musical director of The Sydney Harmonica Festival.
The Course cost includes Harmonica Talk instructional CD and a Hohner Harmonica, as well as free ongoing support!

This workshop takes place in Crows Nest, only 10 minutes from the Sydney CBD.

The workshop starts at 11am and concludes at approximately 4pm.
Numbers on Day
Please note that we require a minimum of 7 people for this workshop to take place. Classes operate with a maximum of 20 people.
