Overview
Experience the thrill and romance of a hot air ballooning flight over the beautiful Yarra Valley and surrounds. We meet approx 30 minutes before first light, where you will have a chance to freshen up before you are driven to the launch site for your hot air ballooning experience.
You can help with the inflation or stand back and capture the moment on photo as the hot air balloon comes to life and takes shape. With the blast of a burner, the hot air balloon rises into the light of morning, floating gently over the stunning landscapes of the Yarra valley. Time seems to stand still as you are suspended between earth and sky.
You will spend around one hour drifting over the valley before returning to land all too soon. After packing up the hot air balloon you are driven back to Balgownie Vineyard Resort and Spa to enjoy a superb 5 star gourmet champagne breakfast. You can relax and chat with your pilot as you enjoy your sumptuous breakfast.

Numbers
Between 6-64 people. Each balloon basket carries 6-16 people plus pilot.
Session Time
Entire duration of the experience, from time of arrival to breakfast, normally takes 4-5 hours. Generally, your balloon ride will last for 1 hour (exact length depends on the wind direction and strength). Start time is 1 hour before sunrise (summer approx 4.00-4:30am, winter approx 6:00-7:00am).
Guidelines & Restrictions
The temperature in the balloon is the same as you will find on the ground. Dress in comfortable clothing for the season. Wear a warm jacket, flat/close toed waterproof shoes, warm socks and your camera/ video.
Minimum fitness level required i.e. able to climb into the basket and stand for the hour's flight. We will need to be informed if someone has a medical condition that may preclude them from flying e.g. a back problem. We do not allow ladies to fly who are more than 12 weeks pregnant.

Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Booking Insurance provider.
