Balloon Flights over the Gold Coast

Description

Let us take you for a spectacular 1 hour hot air balloon flight over the Gold Coast followed by a deluxe champagne breakfast. Come and experience the oldest form of flight.

We are the longest established ballooning company in Queensland and one of the oldest in Australia, flying over the Gold Coast for over 22 years, with a 100% safety record. The only family-owned and operated ballooning business on the Gold Coast - you will be welcomed and flown by the owners.

Flights take place almost every morning at sunrise, when the breezes are at their most gentle. The Gold Coast is one of the most scenic hot air ballooning areas in Australia, with clean air and stunning views from Brisbane to Cape Byron. The backdrop is always the high rise buildings of Surfers Paradise silhouetted against the shimmering silver/blue Pacific Ocean and golden beaches, and the forests and mountains of the Hinterland.

Enjoy a welcoming tea/coffee/biscuits before the balloon flight whilst the balloon is inflated. And then it is up, up and way - the launch is so gentle that most don't even realise that you've left the ground. The views are amazing as you float gently with the breezes 2,000 - 3,000 feet above the Gold Coast and Hinterland. After the balloon lands it is pack up and a lovely bottle of cool water before getting back into our vehicles for the short trip to breakfast.

A beautiful champagne breakfast at the 5 star Palm Meadows Golf Resort follows the flight and flight certificates are presented at a special ceremony, when we also explain the history of hot air ballooning and why it is we have champagne after every balloon flight (there is an historical reason!). The memories will last forever!!

Location

Carrara (Gold Coast - Queensland)

You balloon flight takes place over the Gold Coast & Hinterland. The actual launch and landing sites, and the flight path are decided by the pilot on the morning of the flight based on the wind direction and speed that morning.

Participant Guidelines

As your comfort and safety are our primary considerations we will not fly if the weather conditions are unsuitable - primarily if it is too windy or too wet. If we are weathered out we will reschedule to another date that suits you, so please take this into account when making your booking.

Others are very welcome to come along on the morning without going on the balloon flight. They can follow the

flight by following our vehicles to the landing site. They can also join in the champagne breakfast after the flight.

* Casual clothing is suggested and closed toed shoes (sneakers/joggers/walking shoes) are a good idea as we sometimes launch or land in a paddock with long grass, which can be wet. * It is no colder up in the air than it is when you walk out the front door, so just wear what you are warm and comfortable in. Layers are a good idea as it gets warmer as the morning proceeds. * Bring your sunglasses, camera (reliable batteries) and a hat if needed. You are ready to go Hot Air Ballooning.

Session Length

You should allow approximately 4 hours from start to finish including 1 hour in the air, followed by a lovely champagne breakfast.

Numbers on Day

Our balloons hold 10 and 16 passengers. The balloon baskets are divided into compartments each taking 3 or 4 people. Everyone has ample space and a dedicated part of the basket edge to call their own and to lean on and look out from.

Cancellation Cover

It is recommended that at the time of booking, you consider purchasing GoDo Cancellation Cover. The GoDo Cancellation Cover is insurance cover for the purchaser when losses are incurred if the activity is canceled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier.
