Your guides lead the short paddle by kayak across the tranquil blue waters of the Gold Coast to Wavebreak and South Stradbroke Islands - an area rich in local wildlife - so close to the city .... but a million miles away!
Breathe in the fresh air, and soak up the wonderful scenery as your guided kayak group leaves the city behind and paddles a short way across the calm blue water to Wavebreak Island. Marvel at the wildlife - dolphins, turtles, stingrays and an array of birdlife you may encounter along the way.
Now it's time to immerse yourself in the warm waters, snorkel straight off the sandy beach, feed the sub-tropical fish, swim, or soak up the sun from the golden shorelineof Wavebreak Island.
A hearty appetite is rewarded with a sumptuous Aussie billie tea breakfast of fresh fruit and tasty damper bread served with traditional fruit jams and billy tea.
Your guide will awaken your senses to the nature that surrounds you and help you discover bush tucker as he paints a picture of the aboriginals, land and wildlife as it has been for thousands of years.
Explore South Stradbroke Island and participate in a mock hunt for the Golden Swamp Wallaby (unique to this island), discover other wildlife in its natural habitat and experience ancient Aboriginal ceremony.
Your tour includes free return hotel transfers (conditions apply) and is fabulous for all ages including accompanied children from 8 years (children 6 - 7 are on request) and all fitness levels - you don't even need any previous kayaking experience! You'll be safe on our "sit on top", tri-hull kayaks with a low centre of gravity which makes them extremely stable. On top of that, our Tour Guides are qualified Sea-Kayak Instructors and our indigenous guides are experts in bush survival skills.
Location
Main Beach (Gold Coast - Queensland)
Tours depart from Main Beach, Gold Coast, Queensland and kayak to Wavebreak Island and South Stradbroke Island and return to Main Beach. If you require transfers, please provide us with your mobile phone number (or local contact number) and the name and address of your hotel so we can confirm your pick up and time.

Numbers
An average of 12 - 20 people on each tour, means its small enough to be personal. Even if you're travelling alone, you'll have a fabulous day with great company.
Session Time
Half day (5 hours). Pick-up 7.00am or if self driving, please arrive by 0730 sharp. Tour returns 12.00pm.
Guidelines & Restrictions
This tour is for everyone - singles, couples, families and groups. From the young to the young at heart - you'll have a fabulous time. No previous kayaking experience required (Personal flotation device is supplied). Kids prices for accompanied children 8 - 14 years. Children 6 - 7 on request.
Tour guides hold the Waterman Platinum Certificate, senior and remote first aid, "bush first aid" and remote bush survival skills.
Extra Info
Children: Tours are suitable for accompanied children 8 - 14 years (children 6 - 7 are on request). Please advise children's ages at time of booking. What to bring: swimmers, wettable footwear, sunglasses, hat, DRINK BOTTLE, towel and sunscreen. All equipment is provided including your kayak ,personal floatation device, snorkeling equipment and dry bags to protect your personal belongings.
