Overview
Your hot air ballooning experience begins before dawn when the winds are gentle and a new day about to begin. Flights last approximately 1 hour. After your flight you will be invited to join in the fun, and experience the ancient and mystical art of balloon "packer-uppering". The balloonists breakfast will be served by your pilot and crew.
During breakfast you will be presented with your prized flight certificate and view the mornings photos taken from the Balloon.
Location
Northam (The Heartlands - Western Australia)
The historic town of Northam is located in the heart of the Avon Valley, a 1 hour drive east of Perth. Our launch sites are determined on the morning depending on the weather.
Exact meeting point and supplier's details are provided immediately after booking.
Numbers
We carry a minimum of 2 passengers and a maximum of 12 on the morning ensuring a small personalised flight.
Session Time
Your flight lasts between 45 minutes to one hour. Flight times may vary should wind conditions alter. Ballooning takes place first thing in the morning when conditions are most calm. The meeting time varies with the time of the year but a rule of thumb is about an hour before sunrise.
Guidelines & Restrictions
You must be agile enough to climb into and out of the basket unaided, and stand for the duration of the flight. The basket is provided with rope handles and you must be able to grip these.
Our Chief Pilot has over 23 years and 3500 hours logged in Balloon's. His licence was first issued in Northam in 1984.
We are very proud of our safely record, our priority is for your safety and happiness. You must follow the instructions issued by any staff member
Extra Info
You must be able to climb into and out of the Balloon Basket unaided and stand for the duration of the flight. The basket is provided with rope handles and you must be able to grip these. Child prices include children between the ages of 6 years old to 15 years old.
Booking Insurance
It is recommended that you consider GoDo Cancellation Cover. This is insurance cover for losses incurred if the activity is cancelled (under certain circumstances) by you or the activity supplier. Click here for further details.
Please note: GoDo and/or the activity supplier cannot provide a REFUND for cancellations, no matter the reasons. However, should you obtain Cancellation Cover, you maybe be able to make a claim directly to Mondial Assistance, our Cancellation Cover provider.
