Horse Riding Trail Ride in the Swan Valley
Further Options
Description
Experience the wonder of the Swan Valley with our gentle horse riding trail ride. Our professional guides will escort you on this trail ride through the bridle trails of the Swan Valley and Whiteman Park. You will see kangaroos in their native habitat as you ride through open bushland.
Before riding we will fit you with a helmet and boots - we suggest your wear long pants for comfort as the stirrup leathers can rub your calves if you are unused to riding in shorts and please wear a t-shirt or shirt with a sleeve, short sleeves are fine but no singlet or crop tops.
Each rider will be allocated a horse to suit their individual age and riding ability. The trail instructor will show you how to mount and how to control the horse, how to tell him to go, to stop and to turn. When everyone is comfortably mounted in the saddle, the instructor will lead the way out on the trail. You will be escorted by two members of our friendly trail team who will do their best to inspire you with their passion for horses and horse riding.
The ride will include learning to trot and a little canter if all riders are feeling confident and ready to do so but first -timers are advised to relax and enjoy the walking trail. If you love your first first experience horse riding we hope you will return to learn more.
We are close to many Swan Valley attractions including Whiteman Park and Caversham Wildlife Park, cafes and wineries, chocolate and nougat factories so there is plenty to do after your ride.
We are an accredited member of Australian Horse Riding Centres Inc. Our instructor guides are fully qualified or trainee Trail Ride Instructors trained with Australian Horseriding Centres and have current St Johns Senior First Aid Certificates and Working With Children Cards.
